Bajaj Auto has recently introduced the 2024 Chetak Urbane, which received various enhancements such as new features and improved range. Now, the Chakan-based motorcycle manufacturer is preparing to update the Chetak Premium as well. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from this upcoming model.

Design
Similar to the 2024 Chetak Urbane, we anticipate that the updated Premium variant will retain the same design elements. This means it is likely to feature the distinctive round LED headlight, stylishly curved side panels, and the retro theme that has been well-received thus far. The single-piece seat and the gracefully curved fenders are also expected to remain unchanged. However, Bajaj might introduce fresh paint schemes for the 2024 Chetak Premium.

Features
The 2024 Premium model is expected to receive significant updates in terms of features. We anticipate Bajaj equipping it with a larger digital console and incorporating smartphone connectivity, navigation, and more. These additions will complement the existing features such as LED illumination, ride modes, reverse mode, geo-fencing, vehicle tracking, and CBS.

Hardware
The Chetak currently boasts a monoshock suspension at both ends and a single-disc brake setup with alloy wheels. We anticipate Bajaj retaining the same hardware for the 2024 Premium model as well, as it offers commendable ride quality and reliable braking performance.

Battery
In addition to the feature upgrades, the Bajaj Chetak Premium could benefit from a larger battery to enhance its range. It might also receive a slightly modified motor to achieve a higher top speed. Currently, the Chetak is equipped with a 2.9kWh battery and a 3.8kW motor, enabling it to reach a top speed of 63kmph and cover a maximum range of 107km.

Price

The current ex-showroom price of the Chetak Premium is Rs. 1.20 lakh in Pune. Considering the additional features and the larger battery pack, the updated models are likely to come with a price hike.
